Miss England Finalist, Temi Adeyemi, Shines in 'My Cultural Style' Campaign for Cultural Style Week 2024

Temi Adeyemi, the reigning Miss London Makeup Free, and current contestant in the Miss England beauty pageant, took centre stage in the 'My Cultural Style' campaign, a vibrant component of Cultural Style Week 2024.

The Cultural Style Week movement is dedicated to embracing cultural heritage, identity, and ideals of beauty, empowering individuals to express their roots through fashion and personal style. The week-long celebration of cultural diversity commences on the 21st of May, aligning with the United Nations World Day for Cultural Diversity, and concludes on the 27th of May. This global initiative encourages participants worldwide to share their unique cultural clothing and content online using the hashtag #culturalstyleweek.

In February 2024, content for the Cultural Style Week 2024 campaign was filmed, featuring the enthusiastic support of Miss London, Temi Adeyemi. The British-Nigerian beauty queen showcased her rich Nigerian heritage in designer clothes provided by high-profile Nigerian fashion brands Adebayo Jones and Ethnicity Clothing, and expressed her enthusiasm for joining the campaign, emphasising the importance of representation and self-celebration.

“I wanted to take part in the Cultural Style Week project because it provides a great opportunity to embrace, celebrate and appreciate the diverse cultures and heritages in London".  Temi Adeyemi

Known for her natural beauty, Temi, who entered the Miss England semi-finals makeup-free, was praised by the beauty team for her radiant skin that required minimal makeup.

I use Cetuem's range of skincare products for my skin regime. I also believe that prioritising my peace of mind, exercising, and consuming healthy fats from sources like: nuts, avocados, coconuts and olives; also contribute to my healthy skin regime.” Temi Adeyemi

The culmination of Cultural Style Week coincides with the eagerly awaited 2024 Miss England finals scheduled for 16-17 May at the Grand Station events venue in Wolverhampton, Black Country, England, UK. Temi is among the forty contestants vying for the coveted title and a spot in the 72nd Miss World competition.

“My journey to the Miss England Finals has been one filled with pleasant surprises and opportunities. I continue to be inspired by the people I meet along the way of my journey.” Temi Adeyemi

Building on the success of the inaugural Cultural Style Week London event near the Royal Exchange in 2022 and the international expansion in 2023, the movement continues to leave an indelible mark.

Nigerian-born Candy-Ellie Graham, the visionary founder of Cultural Style Week, expresses her profound joy regarding Temi's involvement.

“Welcoming Temi into this project was an absolute honour – an opportunity to extend our platforms for her to celebrate her vibrant Nigerian heritage and showcase her versatile modelling skills. As someone who is often behind the camera, the inclusion of female Nigerian representation in this year's campaign is particularly exciting for me, given that I couldn't participate personally”.
